Edgewater is a city located in Volusia County, Florida. It's not far off from New Smyrna Beach. A lot of people know this area for being close to the famed Mosquito Lagoon. Here are some popular attractions and places of interest in and around Edgewater.
The city of Edgewater is found along the Indian River, which is a waterway with a lagoon-like appearance. Stretching over 100 miles along the Southern side of Edgewater, you can view quite the beautiful scenery.
Not far from Edgewater is Turtle Mound, which is a prehistoric archaeological site. It's part of the U.S National Register of Historic Places. You can reach this interesting place via hiking trails. Usual opening hours is from 6 AM to 7 PM in the summer, and 6 AM to 5 PM in the winter.
